Pill Organizer Review
I take medication multiple times a day. I’ve always used a small pill container to organize my morning and nightly medications. Overtime, my lifestyle has outgrown it. I take medication at three different times throughout the day. Setting out my nightly pills and morning pills at the same time worked for a while but posed challenges. Particularly when I go out, I have to put all my medications together in front of people. It’s cumbersome and time consuming. It also raises a lot of questions. During the day, I take my medication and sometimes forget whether I took it or not. I was on the hunt for a better solution.…

My Experience at Mayo Clinic Rochester
Everyone has an opinion of Mayo Clinic. Whether they’ve been accepted as a patient or denied, people usually have something to say about it. The reviews I heard before going were difficult to follow. They were all specific to doctors or an isolated experience. I wanted to shed light on my experience as a whole. I’ve been treated at Mayo Clinic for a year now. I’ve seen hundreds of doctors and been hospitalized multiple times. I’ve had good experiences and bad experiences. This is an overview of my experience at Mayo Clinic Rochester. The first doctor I saw at Mayo Clinic was less than thrilling. I had an anxious stomach…

A Review of Zenni
This year, instead of going to the Target optical, I decided to try Zenni’s. I was hesitant to pick out glasses online because I didn’t know what the end result would be. After talking to someone who had used the website before I decided to go for it and take a leap of faith. So here are my impressions of buying prescription glasses from Zenni: The Shopping Experience There are so many options. I spent a collective 7-8 looking for glasses over several days. I took the face shape quiz twice and got two different answers. That wasn’t very helpful. Then I shopped by color, thinking I would be adventurous…

A Review of Thred Up
Lately, I’ve been more conscious of the waste that my lifestyle produces. After taking a class on both water sustainability, it’s clear that our habits are killing the planet. What does this have to do with clothes? Quick fashion trends produce a lot of waste and fabric that ends up in landfills. I wanted to find a solution without losing my ability to shop. Thred Up was the ideal situation for me. Everything you buy is second hand and everything you donate is either recycled or sold. My Buying Experience I’ve bought clothes from Thred Up multiple times now. The experience of shopping is relaxing and organized. Preferences can be…

A Review of Liquid IV
I have had mixed experiences with electrolyte drinks. Some have too much sugar, others don’t work or cause other problems, and some taste horrible. I found liquid IV relatively soon after being diagnosed with POTs. I think it’s convenient because of the packet style. They fit into bags, I often keep several packets in my car. They’re just handy to have around. For a while, I only drank Liquid IV and water. I was symptomatic but felt well hydrated for the most part. It was later that I started supplementing with small bottles of Gatorade. Liquid IV was no longer holding me. Like my health, my dependence on various electrolyte…

Owala Water Bottle Review
I ordered two 32 ounce stainless steel Owala water bottles. I got one with a flip spout and the other with a twist cap. You might be asking yourself, “why do you need 64 ounces of water at any given time?” The answer would be, I need to drink at least three liters of water a day for my POTs. It’s an insane amount of water but I digress. I chose to get one with a twist cap so I could put Liquid IV in it. When you use a water bottle with a straw with Liquid IV, it can get moldy or gross in general. I opted for stainless…

Vera Bradley "ReActive Large Travel Cosmetic" Review
So it might seem weird to review a cosmetic case right? Well, I actually use this for my medications. Having gone through a lot of different experiences with medication bags, I find it helpful to see reviews of what works for other people. So let’s dive right in. I got the Vera Bradley “ReActive Large Travel Cosmetic” My first impression was overall good. I knew that it would be bigger than my previous case, that’s why I got it. I will warn you, it is pretty big. Luckily, since getting Crush, I carry around a decent sized backpack otherwise it wouldn’t fit. It has lots of pockets. The one in…

A Review of Shapermint
If you read my article last week, you know I love Shapermint. I use their compression gear almost every day. I wanted to look at their brand and gear more in-depth. Compression wear is a tricky beast. It’s difficult to find a balance between too tight and not tight enough. I’ve now used their tank tops, leggings, and shorts and I have a good idea about how things work. When looking through their website, you can choose what type of compression you want. Now, if you haven’t done that SPOILER ALERT the Curveez brand is the one that has the best compression, in my opinion. I’ve gotten items from the Curveez…

A Review of the NOCD App
I’ve been using NOCD for about a month now. I’ll be honest, I haven’t been very active on it lately. There’s been a lot going on in my life and I’ve neglected to do my OCD tracking and homework. Because of this, I wanted to do a review of the app if you haven’t used it. Right away when I found this app, I got excited. It is tailored for OCD and not general anxiety which makes it easy to use. There are a few different elements to it. There’s a discussion board, exercise, SOS, and progress tracking. You can also speak with a therapist through this app. Since I…
